Miniature Wonderland: if you’re thinking of a small secret land of fairies and dwarves, then think again. Miniatur Wunderland is actually the world’s largest model railway! The moment you enter the exhibit in the Speicherstadt, you immediately see that someone is successfully earning his money with his hobby. But while the tracks in homes throughout the world are mostly only thrilling for model railway lovers or enthusiasts, Miniatur Wunderland is nothing less than an exciting world journey of discovery for everyone. Visit Scandinavia, Germany, Austria, Switzerland and the USA – sprawled out over several thousand square metres. In addition to Germany’s Harz Mountains and the Grand Canyon, you can also marvel at the fantasy town of Knuffingen. Hamburg’s Reeperbahn, Austria’s mountain villages and entire oceans have been reproduced down to their smallest details. And, at the same time, everything seems to move just like in real life. In addition to model railways and ships, cars and lorries, and even helicopters, add life to the scenery. Miniatur Wunderland offers nothing less than the world – in miniature. This small, wonderous world is just a few metres from our apartments in the Deichstraße and city centre. The exhibition is open to you 365 days a year! The following are the regular opening hours – in more than half the year, Miniatur Wunderland is open longer, and on just a few days shorter.
